First impressions are everything, at least when it comes to selling your home.  Did you know most Buyer’s decide if they like a home in the first six seconds?  In fact, some decide while they are still in their car. 

In today’s competitive market, Sellers have to go that extra distance to make that good first impression, and that means improving your curb appeal as much as possible. 

Follow these simple low-cost tips for improving the curb appeal and add a welcoming layer of beauty to your homes exterior. 

Rent a pressure washer and work on the walk ways, siding, garage door and the front porch.  While you are at it, make sure those window sparkle too. Clean your rain gutters and fix any cracks in the driveway and walks. 

Trim any trees and shrubs blocking the view to your home from the street. A well-manicured lawn, fresh mulch, and pruned shrubs boost the curb appeal of any home. Spruce up your porch containers, window boxes and front beds with some colorful flowers for an instant lift.   

If you have a fence, make sure it’s clean and in good condition.  Replace broken gates and tighten loose latches.

Consider budget friendly upgrades like buying a new mail box, new hardware and decorative house numbers. Painting the front door, trim and shutters is a great way to polish the look of your home.
